The Australian Duty Free Association (ADFA) is a national association of the leading stores in Australian tourism retailing.

Founded in 1977, ADFA's members operate over 20 stores throughout Australia. The duty free industry turns over in excess of $700 million per year and provides jobs and export opportunities to Australian manufacturers, particularly in fashion, arts and crafts.

Nearly five million visitors come to Australia every year and tourism is now one of our largest industries, employing over 500,000 people. Shopping is an integral part of the holiday experience.

ADFA has long recognised the need for Australian tourism retailers to offer to international visitors, quality merchandise and service of the highest possible standards. To that end, it has identified those stores where tourists can shop with confidence that those standards are met.

Australian Duty Free Association Ltd is a member of the Asia Pacific Travel Retail Association
